Next week saturday I'll be facing a fellow glader in battle: Jayz. The point limit has been set at 2250 and I will be using my newly created Daemon army. As a preliminary post, I thought it would be nice to post both army lists before the battle and then use the thread for a more detailed BR.

I have decided to leave the big beasties at home and concentrate on a more balanced army (if that is at all possible for daemons), so no bloodthirsters or lords of change or nasty daemon princes for that matter. No special characters, just plain old boring heralds to lead my minions. The army general will be my herald of khorne - Metal Mouth. His key strategic advisor is Bird Beak, while his banner carrier is Nasty Nagger. For evening entertainment he employs the services of Seductive Slut.

If you are wondering about the strange unit sizes I have come up with, they have to do with the chosen numbers of chaos, each unit being a multiple of their respective chosen number.

My army will consist of the following:

Characters
Herald of Khorne (Metal Mouth), the General
Herald of Tzeentch (Bird Beak)
Herald of Nurgle (Nasty Nagger), the BSB
Herald of Slaanesh (Seductive Slut)

Core
16 Bloodletters + FC, led by Metal Mouth
18 Horrors + FC, led by Bird Beak
14 Plaguebearers + FC, led by Nasty Nagger
12 Daemonettes + FC, led by Seductive Slut

Special
5 Flesh Hounds
5 Flesh Hounds

Rare
Fiend
3 Flamers

I don't know whether I'll have all the models painted for next week, but I then again I have heard that chaos black is all the rage in daemon armies nowadays :D

Any idea what you'll be taking jayz? Could you let me know in advance so I can pack accordingly?

I'll start making a list soon when it's Done I'll post it! hope I can do well in my first real 2250 battle :) should be fun to make such a big list for a change. and a Lord option is awesome :) all though due to my major lack in experience coming up with a good lord choise tends to be hard :)

Like the list btw it's fluffy and by means of Deamons pretty soft I think should be a lot of fun :)

Cheers Jayz

Ok guys here is my list it's my first ever 2250 list and I have to use the models Elbereth and I combined have.

so here goes

Lord:
Hige Born noble on eagle

Hero's:
Spellsinger
Spellsinger

Core:
8 dryads
8 dryads
8 dryads

5 Gr + Music
5 Gr + Music

10 GG + music
10 GG

Special:
8 WD + FC
5 WR + FC
3 WHR

with all the items this ads up to 2250

so Elbereth guess you know what to take allong I guess, I'll take my 8 dryads with me to get the 24 I need. btw if you have a spellsinger with a staff I would apreciate if you could take it allong for the WYIWYG. Oh how much horrors do you need you have 6 yourself? since I only have 10

Cheers Jayz

I've got a spellsinger with staff and one with a sphere, so no worries there. I have 10 horrors myself and will need an additional 8 with a model proxy of a herald of tzeentch. (Unless I can do some conversion work soon)...

Nice list you have come up with! I can't wait to see what type of tricks you'll have up your sleeve!

BTW, I noticed that you have no waywatchers! They might be worth taking for their killing blow ability... They can do some nice damage vs flamers and hounds who have T4 and W2 each. I don't want to tell you what to take, but apparently hounds and flamers are some of the nastiest units daemons have and WW are one of WE's best counters to them.

Damm you now I need to rethink the list again -.-. flamers aren't that bad 18"range shooting is easy to counter I think. but yeah KB on the hounds might be usefull. maybe I'll drop the treeman for the waywatchers. aargh now I need to rething every thing again :P

Btw I have a tzeetnch sorcerer model aswell I can assemble it and take it with me it's not painted but att least it's the correct model.

Cheers Jayz

Sounds great. I would definitely keep the treeman though, he can really bring the pain and stand his ground.

Just so you know, if there's no report of this game, someone is going to be angry.

Enough with the army lists, go play the game you two!

hahahaha Elhänn, we will be batteling it out this saturday so we should have a battle report on here around this weekend or early next week :). Let's just hope the battle will last more then 2 turns so it's worth writng a report that says more then the following:

"Jayz got hammered by the deamons by turn 2, his uther lack of experience made or the fastest 2250 pts game in history!"

Cheers Jayz

Its a solid list, but I I would probably change the warhawk riders for something else. I guess you dont want to say your magic items, so I cant be sure what to add. I would probably take wardancers or drop something and get even more wild riders. If you would get the wardancers you could buy one more wild rider to your unit.

well the problem is that I have to make a list with the models Elbereth has so not free to choose what I want :) and warhawk riders can be a lot of fun against such a short range magic and shooting army as Deamons.

Cheers Jayz

This little thread hasn't been about an already played game for a long time.

I think it'll feel more at home in the Quartermaster's armory.

There it goes!

Of course, feel free to discuss this or any other army list as much as you want or need, and once the game has been played, please post a report at the Glade of Woe.

Thanks.
