The Austria-Switzerland EFC is starting today. It is a good enough reason to open a thread in the OT subforum, especially for the European gladers, although everyone is welcome.
Are you interested in it? Which country do you think will win? Who will be he MVP? Which country do you think will be the underdog? Will Spain reach semifinals for once?
Ah... so many questions...

With group phase 1 over, I have to say there have been many surprises. Holland Italy was a definite highlight, I just can't believe the Italians were beaten so thoroughly! Sneijder really shone as did Van the Man and Giovanni. The host nations both put on very good performances, much better than anybody expected them to be. The Czech win in the opening match was undeserved...
France looks to be lacking in form, as does Russia.
At the moment I think either Germany or Holland should be able to take the trophy home, but of course its still early days and we have yet to see some exciting games.
MVP players at the moment: Podolski, Villa, Sneijder.

hmm well with non of the UK teams actually getting in the tourny im backing Greece to win again, doubt its gonna happen but it would be LOL.
Other than that and looking at some of the matches i reckon that if the dutch can get past the 1/4 finals they will win the cup if not i think its wide open and will be good to watch.
