Site Upgrade Underway

Well, as you can see the leaves are changing and the site is in the throes of being migrated to v3 of phpBB. Pretty much all of our old settings, avatars and sigs have been maintained, but we did lose the articles pages and our site logo! I'm in the process of trying to restore the site look and logo so please bear with me! Also, HTML seems to be doing weird things in places...

One thing that jumps out to me the most would be the narrow, "column" style format of the threads. I think that the narrow format would constrict the flow of our posts and take away from the feel of any significantly longer or more involved responses. I'm not just saying this because I'm shocked by the new format and just "fear change." I've felt this way about every other forum that is formatted this way. The wider, "full page" format is just a lot more comfortable and I hope that it can be preserved once you guys have worked out the bugs.

For what it's worth, I'm sure you can work this out and bring back the aesthetic of the old site. I absolutely loved the soft blue. Thanks Reddz for your hard work. With how slow the forum has been lately I'd hate for you to think that it is a thankless job. I've come to really like it here and I want to at least make sure that my appreciation is heard.

This might be premature, I've been here everyday since the changes have began and I see the progress that you've made already. I'm sure that everything will work out. Thanks again.

Just had to find something nice and "green". The Battle Glade has *always* been green...

I have no idea what Battle Glade looked like, but I would like to say it looks great at the moment. Oh, wait, this is a really old topic. I just thought I'd chip in and compliment this site.

Hey Reddz! what about the Karma feature? I liked that and was getting excited about building some up. I had +4! Half way to overthrowing that upstart Elhann.

There currently is no board mod for karma under version 3. Sorry.

Yeah, all the html pages have gone due to the phpbb 3 format. I've saved the articles though, they're on my computer, so all is not lost

I've been redirecting warseer heads Great Eagle style for a month now, and I come to find out that there aren't even good articles for them when they get here.

No one's registered yet, but I guess we'll never know if they would've had the articles been here. ;)
