Fellow Gladers,

It's been a lot of time since my daisy sniffers hit the table as I was busy refining my way with the Blood Angels in 40k. Alas with the beginning of spring I could not resist the call of the glades anymore so I picked up my quiver and bow and headed straight to hidden paths.

I'll be playing an Orc army this week-end and I'm quite rusty with army specific rules. Nevertheless this is the list I came up with all comments and criticism is much appreciated! :D

Characters

Spellweaver Evergalad Runyalanta Gonea
Lvl 3 Beast Lore DS x 3, Stone (which gives re-roll to dispel and casting I forgot the name  )

Alter Kindred Sinanias
LA, Shd, GW, HoDA, HoH

Core Units

Glade Guard x 10
Glade Guard x 10
Glade Guard x 10
Dryad x 8
Dryad x 8
Dryad x 8
Dryad x 8
Glade Riders x 5 w. Musician

Special Units

Wardancers x 7 w. Musician
Treekin x 4
Wild Riders x 6 Full Command + Warbanner
Wild Riders x 6 Full Command

Rare Units
Katrax the Treeman
Great Eagle

I still have 23 points to spend and I think it might be a good idea to get a BSB by swapping something as it might boost the effectiveness of the Treekin and Treeman against the Orcs

My battle plan is to draw out the fanatics early game with the GRiders and GE and march block with them if they somehow survive  while I try to punch through a flank with both WRiders and the Alter. My guards, Treekin and Treeman will be holding the center and making a lot of noise so that my flankers don't draw too much attention. If everything goes according to plan after I breakthrough the flank I'll roll over to the center in order to join my main line. Pretty classic tactic obviously, but it's classic for a reason

Thanks in advance for your time!

The list is solid, with very much troops. The bsb might serve you better, but you will miss those str 6 attacks. Sword of might and stone of crystal mere are good equipment for a bsb on foot. He would be ideal in the wardancers.

Hail,

In the end everything went very well :) I sticked to the original list and hit the orcs so hard that my opponent didn't even have time to declare Waagghh! All the units worked fairly well, albeit the Treekin and Wardancers were more or less passive as they didn't see any serious combat. I think I might be using them too shily, maybe a more aggressive stance would be in order. My kill one flank and make a sweep to the center was a little hindred as my opponent cunnigly refused flank and put all his weight on the flank I was thinkig of breaking. A litlle redirection with the eagle and the mayhem the fanatics caused when I drew them out early on helped, but the real game breaker was me casting a succesful beast cowers on the boar chariot which was threatening a counter charge to my Wild Riders. Once the Boar Chariot was out of the game for a turn I drove in my spear (Wridersx2 + Alter) and the flank was more or less doomed after that :) Very good game overall and I'm really happy to take off my power armor for some sneaky actions :)

Good to hear of your success. I assume the WD/treekin didn't play a role because everything was pretty much dead by the time they got there?

Exactly, by the time they got into action, there wasn't much action to talk about really :)
