That's right, I said it, and believe it or not, they are available on the Canadian GW site:

http://ca.games-workshop.com/whitedwarf ... rratta.htm

Wood Elves, Empire, Brettonians and High Elves.

Get 'em while they're hot!

Moonstone in the enemy's phase? Treemen can stand and shoot, and against flank charging enemies! And Kurnous-furious elven steeds, to boot!

On the other hand, I'd need some pretty convincing arguments about the Bow of Loren firing non-magic shots.

The stag and unicorn became a little more interesting with the new fury of kurnous rules. 3 attacks for the stag, makes him quite deadly. Also interesting to note that the BSB can take a spite and a magic banner.

Wow, this FAQ really gave (confirmed in some cases) us a boost I think. Fury of Kurnous, a spear that actually counts as a spear, Treeman stand and shoot, all nice.

And I can understand the Bow of Loren shooting non magical arrows. It's just the Bow that is magical, the payload is simply good ol', red-blooded WE arrows. I guess a bit of a technicality, but I can see the logic in it.

I never knew the rule about only having one bound spell though, I'll have to look that up and double check my lists.

I'm pleased. As if we needed help.

Oh, and just think of the moonstone...that's just dirty.

What? Your Tomb Prince on chariot and chariot unit want to charge my noble in the woods? Sure, go ahead. Oh wait, they teleported. Please send your chariot unit careening into the now empty woods. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200$.

Whoever came up with that is a dirty, dirty man.

Just realized how dumb that last comment was.

With bsb being able to take both a magic banner and a spite I can see someone using the royal standard and annoyance. I still don't think that the annoyance gives enough protection, but its better than being naked.

I don't think the rules override the 50 points allowance for magic equipement. So if you take anything else than a magic banner you will be limited to 50 points total. I could be wrong, but thats how I will play it for the moment.

And for the 50 points you can buy either the terror spite or just one spite. Annoyance is the best choice for a bsb because he gets some protection. So if your not going for the terror spite you will leave 25p of your magic item allowance unused because you can buy only one spite.

I'm sorry, maybe I just missed something. I can't figure out why this isn't covered by a brand new official GW FAQ other than it has already been established but, can a model wounded by the Spirit Sword use the General's leadership or not? Shouldn't that have been covered or is it already known? I was pretty sure that that was a hot debate and a much needed clarification, the opportunity for which has been sorely overlooked.

Can anyone tell me if this has been ruled on already? I'd really like to know.

It doesn't need clarification because it is quite clear. Atleast to me. The rules for spirit sword say own LD, not to take a leadership test in the traditional way. So a model wounded by the spirit sword can't use the general LD for the test.

That is my opinion as well but others have argued against that siting similar situations in other armies, i.e. the casket of souls and the banshee's howl, so I thought that this was a real discrepancy in the rules and have been waiting on a FAQ to clear it up. Now we have one but that was not even mentioned, so when the arguement comes up and I find that the burden of proof is on me, well....

Still it is nice to have gotten the FAQs straight on the other issues.
