A follish place in winter this is
For travelers alone.
This forest holds her providence
That I do not belong.

My flint and steel are cold and useless,
The wood she yeilds is wet and raw.
The winter has such hungry teeth;
Should I sleep I'll not see dawn,

Loec if this be Providence
Than please remember me in song,
And I shall speal these words all night
So they may keep me warm;
Safe until the Dawn.

Traveler's song:
Author: anonymous, though most likely human.

Excellent! You've inspired me to go find my "Teclis and the Rats" poem to put here. :D

Thanks for the kind words guys. I wanted to throw my hat into this here ring because , as a writer I believe in the idea of this page and didn't want to see it stay silent for too long and eventually get dropped. I put that poem together rather quickly and to be honest, I wasn't sure how it was going to be recieved.

So thanks again for the kind words and especially to Mach for following my lead. I will read "Techlis and the Rats" as soon as I can. (it is late and I smell like a kitchen :? )

To the other Gladers, bring on the fiction, keep the fluff alive.

I thought we had said no profanity... :lol:

On a serious note, nice poem WD! It has a good rhythm to it.
