Over the last month or so I've been working on creating lists with no forest spirits. The only guide lines I use are the following

- No wild riders, drayds, treekin, treemen

Has anyone had any success creating lists without spirits?

A friend of mine has had great success with an "almost" no forest spirits list.

He uses 2 x units of Wild Riders and a Glamourweave mage. So he's got no 'trees'.

Bow of Loren Highborn
2 Alters
Uni Mage
2-3 x Glade Guard
1 x E.Guard
2 x Wild Riders
2 x Wardancers
2 x Eagles

Something like that.

I've also heard of folks using 4 x Wardancer lists to great success as well.

At my club, we've a campaign going, based around Lustria.
For this, the "Savage Elves" aren't taking anything Forest Spirit, hell, I've even taken Eternal Guard  (They minced through Stunty Slayers  )
Lots of arrows, but they do struggle against heavily armoured units, especially Empire Knights, and have little to actually go into hand to hand with.

I can't see why it would not be a viable list. The only thing we'd miss is a big scary monster (something to take on Varghulfs and Giants), and something medium sized (Something to match Trolls and Orges). But, we have skirmishers, block infantry, archers, we have a lot of manuervability from Eagles and Glade Riders, and we don't need 'hard' units (simply shoot, then flank charge. Repeat). Taking on something big like a giant, however, I'd recommend using a lot of Treesinging spells. Surprising how many roots can kill a giant (could they even reach his throat?)

Averland Empire
Wood Elves, proving there are more direct results of deforestation!

Yes!
I did well against Chaos with no dryads. (as I am sure everyone knows by now as my last few posts have an underlying theme) I dont usually use tree kin. I think use the speed of flyers and steeds, and take wardancers for combat and shoot a lot.
