I think I'm already tying with the lord of the glade on post count. :P

Also, I think this place needs some more saturated greens. I liked the old scheme a lot. Reminds me of summer.

Oh, and everybody should admire my new avatar, which I made especially for this glade!

Looks good, clean and nice. This was definately like what I had in mind - hopefully activity will increase now :). The opening doesn't go too well with my exams though, which start tomorrow. Ah well, priorities, priorities...:P

I have a question about the identity of Elbereth, more precisely: who are you?

PS: And if I were going to be picky about it, the colours should be a tad darker. But hey, I'm not complaining!

PPS: Oh, and what is karma?

Now my post count is 6... ha-haha-haha

Rami, thanks for contributing. you and the others have done alot for Ulthuan.net as well as your own forum. stop by often and spread the word.

if a member of one forum has a provocative topic it would be benefitial to post it (or versions of it ) on other forums. These are the first steps in forming a United Asrai community.

Provocative topic? Won't that just get people mad at you? I mean, I don't know what your definition of provocative is, but in my dictionary, it means it provokes people, most often into getting angry.

I think what you are looking for is discutable or controversial, which have much more positive ring to it.

But yes, interesting topics shouldn't be limited to a mere single forum.

Yes, provokative topics as sites bashing each other should not have to emerge. If they emerge, we have failed somewhere already and should infact be handled on the site they start by the site staff. Posting them on 2 sites my just do more damage.
But with this I do not mean topic that needs a throughout discussion by as many asrai players as possible.

In fact, I could write a lengthy text about the inner meaning of provokative, as I myself can be pretty "provocative" since I have a tendesy to speak my honest meaning quite openly and be pretty frank. If that happens, just call on Andrullius. He got the knowledge and expirience how to deal with the "RagingRammie" syndrome. :P

But if you mean topics that provokes us to change our tactics, news about say... coming army book changes etc, yes, they should be spread.

Note here. I am not in favour of a big united asrai site. Sure, it may seem cool and sometimes be good, but it is... unfluffy!
Asrais live scattered and sure we can bicker between each other now and then. But when danger approaches, we close ranks (well, not litterally unless you field EG like me) fight united.
This is also a strength. If one site goes down, there are others that can harbour the refugees while the site is repaired. But of course it would be fun if the sites could do some things in co-operation, not just the Battleglade and asrai.org, but others aswell.

As Napoleon said, march divided, fight together. Our sites would be smaller, but we are harder to take down.

Well, enough of my rambling. I hope that an intra-asrai network could be formed, sort of a mini-webring or similar. I know nothing about this technical stuff however but it is just an idea. You need to get started up... and we need to get our damn frontportal up!

Anyway, see you soon!

The site looks great. I'm sure everyone misses the old look, but you can't get everything. I really hope that thsi will remain as a quite "private" forum, where evertone knows everyone.

Looking good, but I sense some people with reduced colour vision will have massive issues with some things. The nav Links need to be darker or they'll easily disappear for people with colour blindness.

As for the phpBB, I always preferred it over other platforms. I just hope you'll move to phpBB 3 when a good article MOD has been released for it.

Good work, guys.

PS. Nag grumbles over the 80px avatar limit ;) DS.

the root-word of provocative is "provoke" (my spelling is bad and I'm lost without spellcheck)

by provocative, I meant encourages (or provokes) thought. whether that's out o' box concepts for army builds or character kits or strategies, or any topic that initiates a long and in-depth threadline where it would be benifitial to involve as many players as possible. essentially what a forum is designed to do; amicably and thoughtfully and severly lacking in spite.
