All right, someone had to say it.

I know that a forum as nice as this can be expensive to maintain, so I'm not going to fault you guys for shilling out to cyber-conglomerates. Although I find them about as inviting as a traffic light outside my bedroom window.

Is there anything you can do to make them less obvious, though I'm aware that that is kinda the point. But it would be an excellent start if you could keep them confined to the top of the page, rather than splicing them into the threads. That is damn near intolerable.

The forum is hosted by a freeforums.org, which is a free-forum-hosting service. IE before and now with ads, the forum costed us nothing.

Seeing as how they company was getting no money from us (or from others I would imagine) for their service they have had to introduce an add scheme into everybody's forum to keep their funds coming.

At the moment we are looking at options of how to keep the site add-free, as I'm in full agreement that these things are bloody awful. As I said in the announcement, we will keep everybody updated on the proceedings.
