Since I DO own one of the warhawk riders (only used as a great eagle riding noble), a word of advice: Gamezone minis are very dynamic, and quite detailed

They are also extremely hard to assemble. There's very little room for pinning. Expect extreme frustration in the mounting process.

They're also fairly big. They're smaller than the Forest Dragon, but IMHO, they look bulkier. They're easily twice as big as GW warhawk riders.

That said, isn't it (http://battleglade.freeforums.org/my-eagle-rider-t409.html) nice?

Nice going on the model looks cool. How many parts is the model? just wondering how many drilling bits I need to buy :P it's an expensive mini but it looks so sexy!!! might just make a mini display board for it. showing it charging a unfortunate Knight in the side!!! Lord of the Rings 3 anyone ;)

Cheers Jayz

Well, it's divided into:

Eagle:
left wing
right wing, upper body + head
lower body + tail
(NOTE: The body is HOLLOW)
Claws.

Rider:
Legs and saddle
Torso, head, cloak and arms
shield
Sword armed hand or spear armed hand. (yes, hand. It drops if you sneeze hard)

It comes with a 25x50 base, but if you have spare dryad bases, it's not hard to build a 50x50. You can even do one with cardboard, so don't worry too much. Just follow my ancient technique, and cover it with as much trash as you can get, and voilá. No one will ever know.

It's not more expensive than GW's eagle: GZ is about 19€ while GW is around 22€ (couple euros more expensive with rider). IMHO, GZ's is far prettier, GW's is far resilient. For a diorama, GZ is much better than GW, but for actual gaming, I'm not so sure.

About drills. Save your money. You'll need a psycho... psychiat... mind doctor to treat your frustration induced depression. Or ice-cream. I'm partial to the ice-cream solution myself.
There is simply no room to drill. Did I mention the body's hollow?

I know you asked in my eagle riding thread, but the birds on the base are Skaw's hawks, which I got from GW's online store. I'm not entirely sure if you can purchase them separately anymore, though.

well if it's Hollow I'm porbably just going to gill it up with eithe modeling clay or some hard foam to give me some mass to work with. It's a lot of parts but I guess the complexity of the design calls for it :).

Thanks for all the Information Elhänn I guess I'll just need a lot of glue and Greenstuff to keep it together .

Cheers Jayz

Well I finally got mine :) it's great model but looks a fits like a car in a mailslot. Just wondering is it suppoust to be on a 50/50 or 40/40 base?

Cheers Jayz
